The "Social Justice" discussion group which conducts multi-disciplinary discussion groups involving senior health officials and researchers from various academic institutions, has begun its second decade of activities at the Gertner Institute. This year's selected topic for discussion is "Individual Responsibility versus Social Responsibility."
For a long time - in all areas, but especially regarding the extent of the country's responsibility to supply health services to its citizens, we have become used to asking, "What does the State owe us?" The time has now come to examine our responsibility, as individuals and as a society, to look after our own health.
