For over 30 years served as Chairman of the Institute of Genetics at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center and from 1990-2004 as a Director of the Chaim Sheba Medical Center.
In 2004 Prof. Goldman joined the Gertner Institute for Epidemiology and Health Policy Research as head of the Unit for Genetics Policy and Bioethics and from 2010 serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute.
Prof. Goldman has been awarded the David Ben-Gurion Award for life-time achievement in medicine (2002) and served as Chairman of the National Helsinki Committee for Human Genetic Research (1997-2005) and as Chairman of the National Committee for Human Medical Research (2005-2010).
From 2004 Prof. Goldman serves as a member of the National Bioethics Committee.
